Omar Shakir has been a part of almost every facet of the film & television process. He began working as a sound designer/editor in early 2005 on the NY film scene before transitioning into the games industry in 2007. Bringing his cinematic background and love of games to Atari inc., Omar worked as a Digital Media Specialist on The Witcher, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. In 2010 Omar joined the Rockstar production team as an editor responsible for cutting trailers, integrating mo-cap data, and working on in-game cinematics for Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3. Omar joined Avalanche Studios as a Producer in 2012 where he manages the missions, world design, and environment art teams. He currently resides in New York City and occasionally teaches film and editing courses at the New York Film Academy. He can bench press 225 lbs.
